Opey the Warhead Page 23 by *cluedog it is a rare talent indeed to be able to give a faceless character such a strong emotional presence. Suggested by jojodrums and funkylilith. ( Featured by `misskittyoooo )

Thanks, Richard! I haven't gotten a chance to work on a new page of Opey for weeks due to commissions I'm working on but I'll be doing it weekly at the start of next year.

I hope to see more of your art at your new account. :)

Opey has always posed a bit of a challenge for me to draw, as it's difficult to get a character without a face to emote or express how he's feeling. This was one way for me to get around it, in a strange sort of way. I love writing the character.

Just read through the whole comic. Marvelously twisted camp, loved it. The artwork is amazing as well. The fun grasp on facial expressions makes the comedy really pop. Great stuff.

Thank you so much! I've never heard anyone refer to the comic as "camp", so I find your description fascinating. This has been a story I've been working on a long time now (in fact, I'm currently working on Issue 5). It's great fun to be working on your own comic universe and sharing it with others. Ah, if only I was paid for it.

Please understand that I used "camp" in a complimentary way. I meant self-aware, sacastic camp, much like the more comedic parts of Robocop. I guess that came to mind specifically when the father speaks (which cracks me up by the way).

Look forward to more!

P.s. - someone should definitely be paying you for this, it's too good.

Oh, I wasn't upset. I did originally think you meant campy in a "Batman" kind of way but I wasn't pissed off about it. I appreciate your comments. I've been angling to make Opey a satirical sci-fi piece with a dash of drama on the side. :)
