Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

With the fifth page of "Anyone but Virginia " Issue 5 posted, I now have 400 pages of comic books posted here on Deviantart. It may be a small thing but to me, that's a whole lot of comics. That represents goodness knows how many hours, days, months of my life. It is my distinct hope that it has brought any of my readers the pleasure its been creating and cultivating all of these comic worlds. To celebrate, I've sampled some of the comics below. Drawing comics is a pure labor of love for me. Here's to there being another 400.

UPDATE </>  Hi folks, a friend of mine is coming this weekend, so I've been busy with this and that to catch up that much on comments and viewing people's deviations.  However, I will next week.  I just wanted to say thanks for the  birthday wishes, the subscription, and the birthday art.  Believe me, you have no idea how much they meant to me. Thanks! By nature, I'm a glum person and one of my number one sources of depression is my art. I usually have a very low opinion of it. But I also find myself never giving up. I just love drawing and telling my own stories too much.
