It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

UPDATE:

I'm currently working on Issue 5 of "Anyone but Virginia" (the final issue of the series) and have created a kickstarter to raise money for finishing the comic.  It takes time to work on a comic, time that would be used on commission work and other projects. Josh (the writer of the comic) made an accompanying video as well.

As of the writing of this journal, we're a third of the way there.

In other comicy news, I'm working on the second version of "Miss Doomsday".  I'm redrawing the seven pages I've already posted here on DA (two have already been finished, five to go).  I haven't quite decided which version to go with (the new one or the previous one) but I'm thinking I'll draw up the first seven pages again and, when I've completed them, decide which form to go with (the previous or new version).  Your input and comments have been invaluable.  One of those two versions will be then sent to publishers for consideration.  The new version will be the last version of the comic. I ain't redrawing it anymore.

After I've drawn up the new seven pages of "Miss Doomsday", I'll then alternate between drawing a new "Opey the Warhead" page and a new "Miss Doomsday" page.  One week it'll be Opey, the next Doomsday.  Opey will definitely be making a comeback somewhere around May or June.  You can count on it.

Lastly, if anybody wants to be featured in "Miss Doomsday", the offer still stands.  Send me a photo or a link to a picture of you and I'll draw you into the comic.  I'll use it respectfully.
