Tales from the Darkseid

challenged me a few weeks back to do a celebratory drawing honoring Jack Kirby's birthday. Well, I'm late, as usual, but I get things done. I drew up Kirby's Darkseid. Jack had such a dynamic and unique style that it's actually frozen into many of the character designs of his creations (Darkseid, the Silver Surfer, and countless others). He was truly a master cartoonist.

I thought about drawing a speech balloon with Darkseid reading some chilling tale about the Man of Steel but I figured I'd leave it up to the reader the contents of the story. Plus, I enjoy making the drawing tell the story.
